Grilled Salmon with Anchovy Butter

Was the salmon farm-raised? I just don’t know.


This salmon of unknown provenance was grilled and served with an anchovy butter. Underneath (not a usual foodie term) the fish steak were potatoes, mozzarella cheese and some asparagus stalks. 


What’s the backstory? Had I gone to Europe?

Nope.

I went to La Maison, a Japanese Western restaurant. First I had Camembert croquettes.


Tempura Camembert is amazing. The sauce was fruity. 


The fruit tart was disappointing. I had wanted the caramel tart which was not available when I ordered it. 

With 110 days before I leave Singapore, I’ll probably come here again.
